Women’s Martial Arts:

Mid-Coast Martial Arts is specially designed to be fun, effective and easy to learn. Our goal is to get you into the best shape of your life with black belt self-defense skills as fast as possible. Training with Mid-Coast Martial Arts will propel your confidence, coordination, and self-discipline to a new level. 

Fitness
Our students tell us that Martial Arts is an easy way to get fit because it’s fun; it’s interesting and the benefits of learning the martial arts far outweigh what you get in the typical gym. One of our students called the gym, ‘Climbing the Stairmaster to nowhere.’  No only will we help you tone your arms, abs and thighs, but we will make sure that every class you work your whole body, giving you a totally body workout.

Stress Relief
Mid-Coast Martial Arts is a unique activity because it engages your mind, as well as your body but in a fun way. One of the key skills you learn here is focus. The material you learn is interesting which keeps you immersed in the class. It’s like stepping into another world. Our students tell us coming to class is the equivalent of a relaxing vacation every week.

Confidence
The belt system is the key. While we encourage everyone to set Black belt as one of their goals, obviously no one starts there. We take that big goal and break it down into smaller, attainable goals that move you closer to earning your black belt each class. You start as a white belt and then move to gold belt, orange belt and so on to black belt.
As we prepare you to earn each belt, your skill level improves and your confidence gets stronger. Each belt presents a new challenge that you will learn to meet and exceed. Our students tell us this gives them an unshakable confidence that improves all areas of their lives.

Self-defense
What we teach can save your life. We’ll teach you how to protect yourself and your loved ones in a safe, supportive manner. We’re constantly working with the world’s leading experts on self-protection to make sure what we teach works in today’s world. Hopefully you will never have to use your skills in self-defense, but we can prepare you just in case.  The confidence you gain from knowing you can handle any situation --- from a verbal confrontation with someone at work to an attack in the parking lot --- will make a big difference in the quality of your life.
